“Amber Games Through the Ages” tells the story of boards, pieces and dice that accompanied people in rituals, learning and play from antiquity to the 18th century. When made of amber, they became not just gaming tools, but also objects of luxury and prestige. The exhibition reveals what royal families and medieval monks used to play, what solitary aristocrats took with them on their travels, and includes items such as the chessboard of King Sigismund III Vasa and a set for playing chess, mill and backgammon dating from 1611.

The exhibition will also be open before and after the AMBERIF Fair. It can be seen from 28.06.2025 – 28.09.2025
